This is a Limited edition handwound G10 which is a 100m water resistant variant of our popular G10 100m quartz models. These watches are specially reduced because of an error during production where they were labelled in error on the dial as automatic but are actually fitted with handwound movements. The problem was that they were a very limited production run of only 25 pieces and somewhere during production the factory accidentally applied the handwound dials to a quantity of automatic watches but by the time the error had been identified they had already been delivered to a dealer in the Middle East.

The history of the model is that in 2007 we started to produce a handwound G10 following requests from both retired and serving military personnel for a mechanical variant of the standard quartz models which had high water resistance rating than the traditional 1960s/70s specification W10 models which we manufacture.

This MWC G10 hand wound mechanical model really is the ultimate hybrid and offering a perfect mix of both traditional and contemporary watchmaking technology and even has protection against accidental over winding so it cannot be overwound in error. It’s quite unlikely we will make any further mechanical G10 models because we have considerable difficulties obtaining movements which are suitable and therefore these are probably the last of the line.

The G10 mechanical like all MWC G10 50m and 100m quartz and mechanical models has a heavy stainless steel case, it is very robust and tough and built to endure the most extreme of conditions, features include sweep second hand, black dial and luminous markings with military specification screw in strap bars. This watch is also shockproof and water resistant to 10 ATM (330ft/100m)
